Standard kit lens and one of the better ones given it at least has a metal mount. Surprisingly sharp from f/8-11 with good colour, decent contast and essentially no purple fringing. Build quality is fine. The big problem is very strong distortion (straight lines such as buildings appearing bent) and very strong vignetting (dark corners) below f/11. It could also be sharper in the corners at f/8.
