Having had the FA 35/2 for some time I was just not using it as often as i'd like, it often felt a tad short. I used both lenses and kept the 43 ltd as I prefer the length.
The lens is built beautifully and looks fantastic on the K7. Optically, it's sharper than I had been led to believe when shot wide open. Colour, contrast and resolution are all superb when stopped down a tad. I am somewhat disappointed in the bokeh, at certain distances the OOF areas look very rough to my eyes anyway. At the right subject distance it renders beautifully and it's just right for portraits, the FA50 is essentially 75mm and the FA43 is around 64mm on APS-C so it's a larger gap than it seems for portraits.
